Insulation comes in different types for different needs.

Insulation comes in different types for different needs. Below are a few common types of insulation:

Thermal Insulation: Thermal insulation is used to control temperature changes in a structure. Good insulation saves energy in buildings and balances interior temperatures. These insulation materials include materials such as glass wool, mineral wool, polystyrene foam, polyurethane foam and mineral wool.

Soundproofing: Soundproofing is used to reduce or control the transmission of sound in interior spaces. It is especially used in high-rise buildings or noisy environments. Commonly used soundproofing materials include special soundproofing panels, dense foams and mineral wool.

Water and moisture insulation: Water and moisture insulation is used to prevent damage to the structure by water and moisture. It is especially used in damp areas such as bathrooms, kitchens and basements. Waterproof membranes, specialty coatings and waterproofing sealants are examples of this type of insulation.

Airtightness: Airtightness is used to prevent external weather conditions from penetrating inside. High airtightness improves energy efficiency and improves interior comfort. Airtightness can be achieved by installing impermeable barriers, especially on the outside of buildings.

Fire Insulation: Fire insulation is used to prevent or slow the spread of fire and smoke during a fire. Examples of this type of insulation are fire-resistant materials and special fire insulation systems.

Each type of insulation is selected and used for specific conditions and needs. Ideally, a combination of different types of insulation is used to ensure efficient building performance.
