TEXNO-NIKOL Bituminous Emulsion Primer No. 04 is a ready-to-use professional material that is a water emulsion of petroleum bitumen modified with technological additives. This product is designed for surface preparation before applying waterproofing materials.
Application Areas:
TEXNO-NIKOL Primer No. 04 is used for:
- Conducting high-quality preparatory work both indoors and outdoors.
- Ensuring a strong bond between the waterproofing coating and the base surface.
- Priming cement-sand, concrete, brick, and other absorbent building surfaces before laying rolled, self-adhesive, or mastic roofing and waterproofing materials based on bitumen.
Work Instructions:
- Work should be carried out according to the instructions provided on the label.
- The primer should be thoroughly mixed before use.
- The surface must be cleaned of any contaminants. The primer can be applied to surfaces with a moisture content of up to 10%.
- It can be applied with brushes, rollers, or appropriate spray equipment.
- To prevent tools from drying out prematurely, they should be submerged in water or primer during work breaks.
- Allow the primer to dry completely before applying roofing or waterproofing materials.
- The treated area should be protected from rain until the primer has fully dried.
Application Conditions:
- The temperature range for application is from +5 °C to +40 °C.
- The temperature of the product and the base surface before application should not be below +5 °C.
- The primer is not a standalone waterproofing coating.
- Drying time for the primer is no more than 60 minutes at +20 °C. Drying time will increase significantly with higher humidity and lower temperatures.
Safety Precautions:
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- Uncured material can be washed off with water, while dried material should be removed mechanically or with gasoline.
Storage Conditions:
- Store in a shaded place at temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C.
- The product can be stored at temperatures down to -5 °C for up to three days.
- Any sediment that forms during long-term storage can be eliminated by stirring the primer.
Transportation Conditions:
- The product should be transported in covered vehicles at temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C. Short-term temperature drops to -5 °C for up to three days are permitted.
- The primer is not classified as a dangerous cargo.
